An Italian multinational company and the UK startup scene

It’s news: Enel – a large italian corporation in the electricity and gas sectors – is entering the UK startup scene.

This company aims to become ever more a global integrated player in the energy industry. And in order to achieve this goal, it is investing on innovation and communication. The recent remaking of the corporate logo is among the changes that are happening in this company.

Whitin the new corporate strategy, an interesting move is the search of a link with UK-based startups. And the launch of the Enel’s presence in the UK startup community is the Enel Startup Day in London, february 10, 2016, 6.30 pm, at WeWork, 1 Primrose Street EC2A 2EX, free entry, registration here (until february, 9).

Ernesto Ciorra, head of innovation and sustainability Enel, will open the event, and the others speakers will be venture capitalists and investors from Athoned Smartgrid, 01 Ventures, London Bridge Ventures, PROfounder Capital, Nauta Capital, Bolt Ventures, Seedstar World. Main topics: big data, energy, clean tech, internet of things. After the event: cocktail and DJ set.
