Simultanea is a recently born peer-reviewed journal (double blind system), which specializes in Italian/ Italian American pop culture, including, but not limited to, comics, pop literature, games, media and TV, film, fashion, design, pop music, science-fiction, fantasy, mystery. Comparative or theoretical essays that deal with Italian / Italian American pop culture are welcome.

The publication is co-directed by Marco Arnaudo and Andrea Ciccarelli (Indiana University, USA).

Articles can be in Italian or English and should not exceed 7,000 words.

Essays for the section devoted to “Discussions” should not exceed 5,000 words, should address subjects that are at the core of current intellectual debates within the scope of the journal, and may be written in a non-academic style.

The deadline for submissions to be included on issue 1 is September 30th, 2019.
